Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reacted on BJD’s performance in the recently concluded panchayat polls of the state. While he congratulated the people of Odisha for reposing faith in BJD, the CM has said corrective measures will be applied in governance as well as in organisational issues.
“I congratulate the people of Odisha for coming in large numbers and exercising their franchise freely and fearlessly in the grass root election,” said Patnaik. He also thanked the people for returning BJD as the largest party with absolute majority with 56 percent seats.
Coming to the districts where BJD has not performed well, the party supremo said the verdict is accepted with humility and positively. “Though they are happy with our performance, they want us to do some course correction. They have given us a golden opportunity for serious introspection and want to perform and deliver even better..We shall work harder, get more re-connected to people to fulfill their expectations,” he said.
Patnaik signed off that he is confident BJD will again return to office in 2019 with a thumping majority.
