Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the logo of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) 2017 at the State Secretariat here on Friday.
It was revealed that the 45th annual meeting of the RSSDI would be in the city from November 3 to 5, 2017.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena, RSSDI core organising committee Chairman Prof Siddhartha Das and Secretary Dr Jayant Panda were present, among others.
The RSSDI 2017’s theme is “A World Free of Diabetes Burden. Experts of national and international repute would hold discussions on the theme. The RSSDI is the largest organisation of diabetes healthcare professionals and researchers in Asia.
Currently, it has more than 5,500 life members from across the country representing 29 Indian States and Union Territories The organising committee is working overtime and leaving no stone unturned to make the event memorable, said Dr Panda.
