New Delhi: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met Union Health Minister JP Nadda today at the Sansad Bhawan and discussed the fast completion of the five upcoming medical colleges in the state.
“We discussed various issues including the five medical colleges coming up in Odisha. I have requested the health minister to disburse the balance central share of Rs 397 crores for the construction of these institutions being set up in Baripada, Balasore, Koraput, Bolangir and Puri. We also discussed the admission for academic session for 2017-18 to begin in Baripada and Koraput colleges,” CM Patnaik said.
He has also raised the issue of NEET rules and asked for the restrictions over students to appear for the exam to be lifted. Patnaik also asked Nadda to roll out the National Health Protection Scheme for 38.80 lakh beneficiaries in the state.
The CM will return to Bhubaneswar on Thursday after his six day long New Delhi visit for Holi.
