Bhubaneswar: With an aim to promote entrepreneurship among youths, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday launched the ‘Startup Odisha Helpline’.
An MoU was signed with the Invest India, the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The pact was signed between MSME Department Secretary LN Gupta and Invest India MD and CEO Deepak Bagla in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and MSME Minister Jogendra Behera at the State Secretariat here.
Pattnaik launched ‘Odisha Startup Helpline’ number 1800-345-7100 to provide a platform to youths, incubators and other stakeholders to address their issues.
The MoU will facilitate knowledge exchange, access to funding and networking between Odisha startups and the global startup ecosystem.
While speaking to the media, Pattnaik said that through Startup India, the target of helping youths in realizing their dreams will be attained by 2020.
Bagla said that Odisha has becomen the first state to sign MoU with Invest India for jointly working for startups.
Gupta has said that Odisha has already listed 225 startups and 24 incubators since Chief Minister Pattnaik has unveiled the Odisha Startup Policy.
