Bhawanipatna: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated a slew of projects in Kalahandi district.
The CM laid foundation stone of Medical College at Bhangabari of Bhawanipatna. Speaking to a public meeting, the chief minister said his government is trying to develop the tribal dominated district level with other ones. “Our government is sincere for the back ward regions and deprived class. For development of tribal pockets we have appealed to the central government for special funding,” he said.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of Vedanta Foundation for its contribution to establish the medical college Patnaik said it would be completed by 2017-18.
Patnaik laid foundation stone of a 300-seat hostel building of Bhawanipatna Autonomous College and a new town hall. He inaugurated 33/11 KV grid sucb station at Kusa Dangri, 3 mini stadiums at Dasi Gaon, Utkela and Kesinga NAC, additional workshop for government ITI, girls hostels at Parmandpur and Kursula.
He also inaugurated a mobile health unit and innovative auto bike ambulances dedicating an augmented public water supply for the benefit of people.
