CISF jawans thrash school students in Jajpur

Jajpur: Tension engulfed the Kalinga Nagar Industrial Area in jajpur district last night after some Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawans deployed at Tata Steel plant here allegedly thrashed as many as 33 students and two teachers of a sevashram school at Gobaraghati under Danagadi block.

The attack took place between last midnight while the students of the school were preparing to go to bed after their dinner. The jawans barged into the hostel of the sevashram school, thrashed them and their teachers, and damaged several articles over pelting of stones by the students at the camps of the CISF jawans

After some teachers objected him the CISF jawan started thrashing them along with the students brutally.

Students and teachers who sustained injuries in the attack were rushed to Dangadi CHC by Kalinga Nagar police who reached the spot later in the night.

Protesting the attack by the security personnel, students and teachers of the school today staged a road blockade on Duburi-Chandikhole NH-57 in front of the steel pant’s main gate demanding action against the accused CISF jawans.

Sukinda Tehsildar and DWD had reached the spot and discussions were on with the mob.
