Cuttack: The Orissa High Court granted bail to AT chit fund accused youth Congress leader Rajat Choudhury. The former youth Congress president was granted conditional bail on Friday.
Rajat was arrested in July, 2016 for his links in the ponzi scam by AT group by CBI. He was given bail after a deposit of Rs 1.5 crore and two Rs 1 lakh bonds by two guarantors.
During the course of investigation of chit fund scams, CBI had reportedly found Rajat owning the power of attorney for a property belonging to AT group worth over Rs 90 lakhs.
In another development, Tirtha Halder, Malaya Halder, Maloy Guha, Dipankar Ghosh and Prosenjit Dil, all Directors of Real Tulip India Limited were arrested in chit fund cases by CBI special crime branch Kolkata. Theywere brought to Bhubaneswar today and will be produced in the Court tomorrow.
