Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: The much-awaited Trisulia Bridge over the Kathajodi River here has finally been inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today which has brought a sigh of relief to the commuters between Twin Cities.
The Trisulia Bridge is the largest bridge in Odisha, which will be named after Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.
The bridge is 2.88 km long built on the outskirts of the state capital linking with the silver city, Cuttack, will now reduce the distance between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar by almost 12 kms.
The project was constructed by the Roads and House Development Department at an estimated cost of Rs 114 crore.
Notably, the construction of the bridge started after the foundation laid by Chief Minister in February, 2011, but the department failed to accomplish the construction work by deadline.
