Bhubaneswar: The Special POCSO Court here would hear the minor girl casting couch case involving Ollywood comedy actor Tattwa Prakash Satpathy alias Papu Pompom on July 17.
Earlier on July 1, charges were framed against the actor in connection with the case under Sections 341, 323 and 354 of the IPC and Sections 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
If Papu is found guilty in the case by the court, he can be jailed for a maximum period of five years.
Notably, Papu is accused of sexually exploiting a minor girl on pretext of giving her a break in movies.
The girl had brought allegation against him on June 25 last year. She alleged that the actor along with his associate film producer Pradipta alias Gitu Swain molested her repeatedly promising her to give chance in films.
Papu and Gitu were granted bail by the Orissa High Court on August 10 last year.
