Bhubaneswar: The special POCSO court has started hearing in casting couch case against Ollywood comedian Tattwa Prakash Satpathy alias Papu Pom Pom and his associate film producer Pradipta Swain alias Gitu.
According to source, the victim minor girl’s parents and the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) member Nirupama Rath has appeared before the court on the first day of hearing and produced enough evidence against Papu and Gitu.
Earlier on June 25th last year, the victim minor girl had leveled allegations against the actor. She alleged that the actor along with his associate film producer Pradipta Swain alias Gitu molested her repeatedly promising her to give chance in films. On July 1st, charges were framed against the actor in connection with the case under Sections 341, 323 and 354 (A) of the IPC and Sections 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
On July 17 last year, the POCSO court had to adjourn hearing as none of the witnesses appeared before the court, as per reports.
Both of the accused were arrested from Room no. 306 of Nandighosh Apartment located on Baliapanda Lokanath road in Puri, on the basis of a complaint filed by Friends’ Association, a voluntary organization, on June 30 last year.
