California mass shooting: 12 killed, suspected gunman also dead

California: At least 12 persons including a sheriff’s deputy were killed during an apparent mass shooting in a bar in Thousand Oaks in California late last night.

The accused shooter was also found dead inside the bar.

According to available information, a man who stormed into the bar fired 30 shots at the crowd in Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, which is about 40 miles west of Los Angeles.

Witnesses said a man fired several shots from a handgun before throwing smoke bombs into the crowded bar filled with college students hosting ‘College County Night’.

Several other injured victims have been admitted to the hospital, said the police. The reason behind the act of violence is yet to be known, the police added.
