Bhubaneswar: Over 15 people sustained injuries after a tourist bus carrying pilgrims from Odisha fell off a bridge near Tata Nagar in Jharkhand on Friday night. The injured persons were rushed to Tata Hospital.
Reportedly, the incident occurred when the tourist bus ‘Sriramjee Benz’ carrying around 50 Muslim pilgrims from Cuttack, Kendrapara and Soro was returning from Ajmer after attending the annual celebrations of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.
Sources said, the bus was stationed on the road side and was hit by a speeding truck from the rear following which it fell off the bridge.
Few passengers had a close shave as they had got down from the vehicle to have tea but haplessly many of them were still inside the bus when the mishap occurred.
