Bhubaneswar: Pratap Panda, chief of Panda Infra, the company that had undertaken the construction work of Bomikhal flyover that collapsed on Sunday, and two others were sent to judicial custody after being produced before a local court here today.
They were remanded to judicial custody after their bail pleas were rejected by the court.
Pratap Panda, suspended Assistant Engineer Kishore Rout and project manager Vipul Chakraborty have been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
Earlier in the day, Twin City Commissionerate Police had arrested Rout and Chakraborty. Rout was arrested after he surrendered before Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi.
Notably, one person was killed and 12 others were injured in the mishap.
