Mumbai: Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit will recreate the golden era on the sets of Dance Deewane with the iconic song ‘Mohe Panghat Pe Nandlal Chhed Gayo Re’ which was featured by ‘the Venus of Indian cinema’ ‘Madhubala’.
Dressed in an orange and silver embroidered lehenga, a maroon coloured choli, jewellery matching those that of Madhubala, the fans will witness Madhuri Dixit in the iconic song in the upcoming episodes of the dance show Dance Deewane in Colors.
The iconic song Mohe Panghat Pe Nandlal Chhed Gayo Re was featured in 1960 in the film ‘Mughal-e-Azam’. The song was choreographed by Kathak master Lacchu Maharaj, who took five days to choreograph the dance moves.
The song not only showed the beauty in the culture of the Indians but also showcased the uproots of the tradition which the people follow.
Madhuri Dixit late on Monday took to twitter and wrote, “Retro feels today on #DanceDeewane”.
