Bhubaneswar: In a special drive of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) towards beautification and security of the city, BMC Commissioner, Krishan Kumar on Sunday that BMC has set up four special enforcement squads towards removal of illegal hoardings in the city.
With the commencement of the drive, BMC has already removed around three hoardings starting from the Sishu Bhawan square and other major traffic posts in the city on Sunday.
Kumar further said that the four special squad has been assigned with the task of removing rooftop hoardings at various private places.
As per sources, the city being in the cyclone prone area, the rooftop hoardings may cause serious damages to the vehicles, public property and lives. He further said that a notice of seven days would be issued against the person concerned to remove the illegal rooftop hoardings.
