Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has organised a workshop in the Capital city to sensitize the teachers of colleges and universities, young people and mostly students about the menace of the deadly ‘Blue Whale Challenge’ game.
The officials of around 240 institutions across the twin city had participated in this workshop, as per sources.
Police Commissioner Y B Khurania urged the parents to keep a close watch on their children and to monitor their behavioural changes, especially in the wee hours to ascertain whether they are playing the deadly Blue Whale Challenge.
Khurania said, “The parents should explore the internet with their children, which would be beneficial for them and would ensure that they are browsing the internet the correct way.”
Police control room (100) can be informed immediately, if anyone found playing this deadly game, Khurania added.
He also said that the police is setting up a plan to nab the person who has sent this link across.
The workshop was addressed by Khurania in the presence of UNICEF child protection specialist L Nanda, IIT SES faculty P Bera, IIT system engineer Shanku Das, IIT student counselor Manisha Mishra and SCB Medical College Principal Dr Sidhartha Das along with Professors of various universities, Principals of different schools and colleges, parents and guardians.
