Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday claimed that the BJP would “definitely” win the coming bypoll in the Bijepur Assembly constituency in Bargarh district.
“The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has been rejected by people. The BJP is definitely going to come out victorious in the Bijepur bypoll,” Pradhan told media.
Referring to the announcement of the BJD’s candidate Rita Sahu, wife of Congress MLA Late Subal Sahu, Pradhan said that “No individual or sympathy factor” would work in Bijepur.
He said the BJD Government’s “inefficiency, ineptness and corruption” would lead to the ruling party’s defeat in the bypoll. In fact, the BJD would suffer its ultimate fall in the 2019 general elections as people have made up their minds to end the prolonged BJD rule, he added.
