Bhubaneswar: The BJP Odisha wing held a press conference today just before the arrival of party president Amit Shah. Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed that External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj will not be attending the National Executive Meet owing to her health issues. Pradhan also informed that the premises of the Meet to be hosted at Janata Maidan in the capital city has been named after saint poet Bhima Bhoi.
He also said that PM Modi will reach between 3 to 3.30 pm on Saturday. “PM Modi has taken up welfare missions for Odisha and this will be further taken up during the National Executive Meet,” said Pradhan.
The entire BJP party members from across the state reached the Airport to welcome Amit Shah who landed at 1 pm.
“We are glad that the Meet begins today on the auspicious occasion of Pana Sankranti or Odia New year,” said a BJP member.
