On asking BJP leader Kanak Bardhan Singhdeo said, Amit Shah’s Odisha visit aims at meeting booth level party workers and activists to encourage them for even better results in future elections.
He would hold discussions to chalk out key strategies to take on Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Naveen Patnaik, whose government has been ruling, uninterrupted for 17 years.
As per sources, following the recent success of BJP in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and formation of governments in four states, Shah is looking forward for getting electoral success in the East as well.
However, it is also significant for Amit Shah to visit the state after gaining strong foothold in the recent panchayat polls by the saffron party. The visit also indicates towards the party’s desire for strengthening its hold in the State before commencement of 2019 Assembly election.
