Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah will embark on a visit to Odisha in the first week of April this year, informed state party president Basant Panda on Sunday.
Though the date of Shah’s visit is yet to be announced, he is most likely to arrive here during first week of April, said Panda.
During his visit, the saffron party supremo is scheduled to attend public meetings and youth conferences in western districts of the state like Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Balangir and Sonepur.
On the other hand, Shahwould also interact with party leaders and prepare strategies to make the party’s hold stronger ahead of 2019 assembly elections.
In September last year, Shah had arrived on a three-day visit to the state.
During the visit, he held separate meetings with the legislators, MPs and other office bearers, besides reviewing ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ programme and various public welfare programmes launched by the party.
