Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar has been selected as the first Indian city to compete as a finalist for the World Smart City Awards at Barcelona which ensues later this month.
As per sources, the city was selected after it had submitted its proposal to the organizers, Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC).
Bhubaneswar was selected as of the top notch city in the first phase of the Narendra Modi’s flagship programme of Smart City Mission earlier this year. It has been one of the fastest growing city in the country at present.
Renowned as the city of temples, the capital of Odisha has been lauded with a reputation of one of the most favourable destination for new start-ups.
Notably, the world smart city Awards is aimed at recognizing innovative solutions and promoting them to increase efficiency, generate business and improve quality of life.
