The Home Department has directed the district officials to ask employees arrive at the office by 9.30 AM so that government works are not disrupted.
Notably, the Congress has called for a nationwide cease work and protests following the recent demonetisation move by the Centre. While the party has claimed that it is actually not exactly ‘Bharat Bandh’ but rather cohesive action against the move of Union Governmnet in the name of ‘Jan Akrosh Diwas’. So far it has claimed demonetisation as a ‘political move being in alibi of fight against corruption’.
Earlier the Congress has managed to weed out its allies including some regional parties of various states to jointly protest against the scraping of high value currencies.
