Bengaluru cop stops President’s convoy to make way for ambulance

Bengaluru: A traffic police officer deployed at Bengaluru’s Trinity Circle on Saturday not only earned praise and won hearts but also a reward for making way for an ambulance even as a convoy of President Pranab Mukherjee was to pass through the busy junction.

Sub Inspector ML Nijlingappa reportedly spotted an ambulance trying to find a way towards a private hospital near HAL. At that time, the President’s convoy was heading towards the Raj Bhavan.

The sub-inspector quickly passed on directions to do the needful and let the ambulance travel through the congested road.

The President was in the city to launch the final phase of the Bengaluru Metro. And while that should be ease traffic to some extent, having people like these gentlemen looking after the traffic is a big plus as well.
