Bhubaneswar: The cracks in the BJD once again came to the fore with the party’s Cuttack district president and Minister Pratap Jena making a statement that Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda did not attend the executive meet held in Cuttack despite being invited. Panda immediately responded to it, saying that he was not invited.
In a Tweet, the MP stated, “The statement made by the Health Minister is false, petty and low level politicking by vested interests who are manipulating the party.” He further stated, “Hope the founder sees through it.”
After the meeting, Jena said all the functionaries and workers were invited to the meeting. Though the Parliamentarian was invited to the meeting, for some reason he did not come. Soon after, the MP’s political secretary Jyoti Prakash Ghosh responded to Jena’s statement as baseless and false.
”Baijayant Panda was not invited to the meeting. He was neither informed over telephone nor was he given a letter prior to the meeting. It is a conspiracy of some officers,” said Ghosh.
