Bhubaneswar: With the preceding monsoon session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly experiencing scenes of uproar, chaos and less work amid Mahanadi row, Polavaram issue, Dana Majhi incident and Nagada fallout the upcoming winter session is also likely to experience uproarious scenes provided some feed to garner by both the ruling BJD and opposition BJP, Congress. SUM tragedy could be a perfect point to start off as a government notification informed that session would begin from December 1 continuing till the month end.
According to the notice, the session will have a total of 24 working days. The additional budget will be presented during the first day. Similarly, the first budgetary allocation bill of the current fiscal would be tabled on December 15.
During the eight day monsoon session last time around, only 11 bills including five in the very last day were passed.
