Anita Pattanayak’s first visit to Odisha after taking charge as Deputy CAG
Bhubaneswar: Newly appointed Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Anita Pattanayak has arrived in the state capital today on a 5-day visit to her hometown Cuttack. She was warmly felicitated at the airport by the employees of AG office.
Odisha-born senior bureaucrat Anita Pattanayak took charge of the position on 1st September, 2017.
This is the first visit of Pattanayak after taking charge as Deputy CAG, during which she along with her family members will visit Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri to offer prayers and Konark Temple as well in order to spend some quality time with them.
Notably, Pattanayak is the daughter of former Odisha DGP late Kishore Chandra Pattanayak from Cuttack. She has pursued her higher education from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi and London School of Economics.
The 1982 batch officer of Indian Audit and Accounts Service has also served as Principal Accountant General of Karnataka.
Worth mentioning, she is the first Odia woman to achieve such distinction. Prior to this, she has served as the Auditor General in Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Odisha.
