Bhubaneswar: BJP National President Amit Shah’s ongoing visit to the state will have no impact on the ruling BJD’s prospects in the 2019 State Assembly polls, Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik said today.
Answering media questions in this regard he said, “I don’t see any impact of his visit.”
Notably, after Naveen raised doubts on Shah’s ‘Mission 120’ and said, “I doubt whether they will get so many seats in the next elections,”, Shah yesterday said, “Some think it is impossible to get 120 seats. But we have young leaders and therefore we are optimistic to win 120 seats in the next assembly elections in the state.”
Responding to Shah’s remark that those who have grown old are finding our mission of winning 120 + seats in 2019 assembly polls difficult, Naveen, 70, said, “I don’t know what Shah is doubting of my age.”
