Mumbai: Madhuri Dixit had a surprise guest today at her Mumbai residence. BJP president Amit Shah along with Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and other BJP leaders called on Madhuri in Mumbai as part of his party’s “Sampark se Samarthan” (Contact for Support) campaign and briefed her on the achievements of the central government.

During the meeting, Shah presented a booklet containing the achievements of BJP-led central government in the last four years to the Bollywood icon. Madhuri’s husband Sriram Nene and his two sons were also present during the meeting.

The BJP president also called on industrialist Ratan Tata in Mumbai as part of the “Sampark se Samarthan” campaign. The saffron leader presented him a same booklet too.

However, the BJP president’s scheduled meeting with melody queen Lata Mangeshkar was cancelled as she was down with food poisoning. Mangeshkar tweeted in Hindi that she had spoken to Shah over telephone and expressed her inability to meet him since she had suffered food poisoning. She also requested that they can meet during his next visit to Mumbai.
