Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday sanctioned 1,193 projects to be implemented at a cost of Rs 32.60 crores in 114 gram panchayats (GPs) of four districts in the state under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash scheme.
Patnaik approved the projects for Bheden block of Bargarh, Aul block of Kendrapara, Remuna block of Balasore and Danagadi block of Jajpur after holding a discussion with the representatives of the concerned GPs through video conferencing from the state Secretariat here.
Out of the total projects, 164 projects will be implemented in 21 GPs under Bheden block at a cost of Rs 5.25 crore and 398 projects will be executed in 34 GPs under Aul Block with an expenditure of Rs 8.11 crore.
Similarly, the CM sanctioned Rs 11.20 crore for 468 projects in 36 GPs under Remuna block and Rs 8.04 crore for 163 projects in 23 GPs under Danagadi block.
Patnaik advised the people and their representatives of the concerned GPs to come forward and ensure timely completion of the projects. On the other hand, the people and their representatives expressed their gratitude to the CM.
Chief secretary AP Padhi, principal secretary to Panchayati Raj and drinking water and other senior officials were present.
