Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Monday said, it would formulate Aerospace and Defence Production Policy, and Automobile component policy in fiscal year 2017-18.
This has been informed by Industries Minister of the Odisha Debi Prasad Mishra while replying to a debate on expenditure relating to industries Department in the Assembly.
He further added, the state government has received 83 investment intent proposals of Rs 2.03 lakh crore during the ‘Make in Odisha Conclave’ held here in December 2016 and the new sectoral policies of the state were highly appreciated across the globe.
The state-owned Infrastructure Development Company limited (IDCOL) and Indian Rare Earth Limited (IREL) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the ongoing year for setting up a Beach Stand Project in joint venture at Chhatrapur Beach.
While 14 investors have proposed to invest Rs 70, 959 crore during Make-in-India week in Mumbai, 29 investors came out to invest Rs 90, 670 crore for setting up their units during Odisha Investors Meet at Bangalore.
The department has also planned to establish an Apparel Park at Chhatabara in Khurda district while it will also set up 12 new industrial estates across the state to establish the investment proposals received by the government.
