Ace singer Bob Dylan conferred with Nobel Prize in Literature

Stockholm: World famous singer and lyricist Bob Dylan on Friday has been conferred with the prestigious Nobel Prize in Literature for the year 2016.
Dylan’s music and song resemble poetry, besides he is an icon who has legendary status in American music industry and deserves to be in the pantheon of the elites, said Sarah Danias, secretary of the Nobel Prize Foundation Academy.
Dylan will be honoured with a gold medal along with a diploma and a cash prize of 92,7740 dollar (6 crores 21 lakhs rupees) on December 10 for his magnificent contribution in creating a poetic aura that encompassed the music culture of the Americas.
The 75 year old Robert Allan Zimmerman or rather famously known as Bob born in a rather middle class family in Minnesota, US on May 21, 1941 has created history by becoming the first ever song writer or rather singer to get such an award.
