Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs 33.96 crore for implementation of 1,371 projects under 153 gram panchayats of seven blocks in seven districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme.
The blocks are Chikiti in Ganjam district, Badachana in Jajpur district, Hindol in Dhenkanal district, Balianta in Khurda district, Krushnaprasad in Puri district, Gudari in Rayagada district and Maneswar in Sambalpur district.
Out of the sanctioned amount, Rs 4.21 crore has been earmarked for 97 projects to be implemented in 17 GPs of Chikiti block, Rs 10.75 crore for 411 projects in 43 GPs of Badachana block and Rs 7 crore for 279 projects in 35 GPs of Hindol block.
Similarly, Rs 4 crore has been sanctioned for 138 projects in 16 GPs of Balianta block, Rs 4.10 crore for 279 projects in 21 GPs of Krushnaprasad block, Rs 1.03 crore for 49 projects in 9 GPs of Gudari and Rs 2.87 crore for 118 projects in 12 GPs of Maneswar block.
The CM connected to over 1 lakh villagers through video conferencing during today’s programme. Besides the Council of Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Chief Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department Principal Secretary and senior officers of various departments of the State Secretariat, concerned District Collectors, elected PRI members and the village people of the concerned blocks were in attendance.
