Jakarta: P V Sindhu settled for silver in the women’s singles badminton final at the 18th Asian Games here on Tuesday.
Sindhu lost to Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying in straight games with a final scoreline of— 21-13 and 21-16, as a result, Tai won gold and Sindhu clinched the silver medal. Although Tai had the lead for most of the time, Sindhu fought hard in order to win the game.
For the fifth time this year, P V Sindhu lost a final and had to settle for a silver.
With this India now has two medals in the women’s single event— Saina Nehwal’s bronze and P V Sindhu’s silver.
