Rayagada: Police on Sunday seized 7.8 quintal ganja at Malidhepaguda village under Muniguda police station in Rayagada district.
The police also arrested six persons for their involvement in the illegal smuggling of the contraband.
As per available information, the cops zeroed in on the smugglers and intercepted them while the contraband was being loaded on a truck at Malidhepaguda village.
Following a thorough check, police seized cannabis worth Rs 80 lakh.
While the accused has been arrested, a case has been registered in this matter. Besides, an investigation into the matter is also underway.
