Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed State Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Cooperation Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain to proceed to Balasore to supervise the restoration works.
Very severe cyclonic storm has caused widespread destruction in several places of Balasore district. As the cyclone has crossed the district, restoration teams have started clearing fallen trees from the roads and establish vehicular connectivity to further relief and rescue operations.
In order to monitor the restoration work, the Odisha CM has asked Minister Swain to visit the affected district and ensure speedy restoration in the cyclone-hit places.
