Balasore: As many as eight persons were admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday due to mysterious ailment.
The victims hailed from Bhogarai area of Balasore. The youths were working in a restaurant at Goa.
According to sources, the youths were admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after the Balasore doctors failed to diagnose the disease.
Reportedly, two co-workers died in Goa due to unknown disease 12 days back. However, the victims complained about the same and were admitted to the hospitals there where the doctors could not trace the disease. After the doctors failed to identify the disease they returned home and were later shifted to the hospital.
“We were working in Goa for last nine years but around 10-12 days ago two of our colleagues died in a mysterious fever which doctors failed to diagnose there. We got panicked after similar fever symptoms developed in us and decided to return home for better treatment,” said an affected youth.
