Bhubaneswar: Three PLFI (People’s Liberation Front of India) members, who were allegedly involved in the exchange of fire with the security personnel in Sorada forest on February 9, were arrested during a search operation in Saranda jungle in Bisra by the Rourkela police on Wednesday.
The PLFI members were identified as Radheshyam Naik, Ramesh Singh and Sujit Ram. As per sources, security personnel, acting on a tipoff from reliable source, conducted a search operation and nabbed the three of the banned outfit while they were returning from Jharkhand. While some others managed to give a slip to the police.
Police have also seized two guns and 10 rounds of live bullets from their possession. Notably, two PLFI members were killed during encounter between the police and the outlawed group in Sorada forest on February 9.
