Bhubaneswar: A total of 27 schemes named after different eminent persons are now being implemented in the State and, of them, a whopping 11 are in the name of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.
Planning and Coordination Minister Usha Devi informed this in the State Assembly in response to a question of BJP MLA Dilip Ray on Thursday.
The Minster said the 11 schemes running after Biju Patnaik name had commenced at different times from finance year 2000-01 and these schemes are running in State funds and there was no Central fund provision for these schemes during 2016-16 and 2017-18.
The schemes are Biju Gaon Gadi Yojana, Biju Express Way, Biju KBK Yojana, Biju Kandhamal O Gajapati Yojana, Biju Krushi Vikash Yojana, Biju Saharanchal Vidyutkaran Yojana, Biju Gram Yoti Yojana, Biju Kanya Ratna Yojana , Biju Setu Yojana and Biju Pucca Ghar.
The other schemes are Madhubabu Pension Yojana, Gopabandhu Gramina Yojana, Syamprasad Mukherjee Rurban Mision, Deen Dayal Upadhay Gramin Bidyutikaran Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescence Girl (SABALA), Indira Gandhji Mantritwa Sahyog Yojana, Indiragandhi National old age Pension, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension, Parbatigiri Megalift Irrigation Sheme, Gangadhar Meher Shikshya Manak Brudhi Yojana, Buxi Jagabandhu Assured Water Supply to Habitations , Malatidevi Prak Vidyalaya Pardhan Yojana, Bhima Bhoi Bhinnakyama Samartya Abhiyan and Atibadi Sarala Das Chair of Odia studies in JNU, New Delhi.
